By His Wounds - Healing Rooms

My friends always tell me that they want to witness a miracle. They wish that Jesus would heal like He did while on Earth. I always assure them that God has not lost His healing touch. My words used to drip with a hint of doubt. That is no longer the case.

I have found a ministry that specializes in healing. Healing Rooms is a ministry offered by Christians who desire to see the sick healed. Those who attend often receive salvation, physical healing or emotional healing.

Each Healing Rooms ministry provides the following to its participants:
  • The message of salvation

  • A word of healing

  • A powerful anointing

  • An impartation of healing

  • Prayer and deliverance

The Healing Rooms ministry began with twentieth century pastor John G. Lakes in Spokane, WA. Lakes had witnessed physical healings since his youth and desired to see more. There are currently Healing Rooms all over the world. Forty-eight different countries have at least one Healing Rooms center.

I attended a Healing Rooms session at Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. I signed up for a slot at the door and waited for my turn. A team of five intercessors awaited me in the sanctuary, where they privately prayed for me. I did not need to be healed of any physical ailment. However, I experienced a time of intimate prayer. I also received a prophetic word, a word from God spoken through those praying for me.

The International Association of Healing Rooms offers testimonies of people who have been healed during Healing Rooms sessions. Testimonies include healing from depression, hip pain, muscle tension, blindness and fibromyalgia.

Healing Rooms offers an opportunity to reach the world for Christ. Intercessors can directly impact a member of his or her community through prayer. While some seek clairvoyants and witch doctors for direction and healing, others turn to Christians. Only Christians can offer the true source of life: Jesus Christ.
